Are you ready to go?
I know giving your beloved pet into the care of someone else can be scary.
This is why it is extremely important to me to be transparent about everything I do, and make sure everyone is comfortable, most importantly your pet.
Let me quickly take you through the process:
The process differs slightly depending on the service of course. I’ll try and cover all the bases – should you still have questions afterwards, please never hesitate to get in touch. I want you to feel reassured and confident about leaving your furry friend with me for any length of time.
Step 1 – Initial Contact
Get in touch via email or using the contact form and let me know what kind of Service you’re interested in. If possible, pease include some information about your dog / pet, as well as dates and times you are available for a free, non-binding Meet & Greet.
Step 2 – Meet & Greet
It’s important to me that you are 100% convinced I am the best choice to take care of your beloved pet. During the Meet & Greet I can meet you and your pet, and we are able discuss everything in detail – what Service are you looking for, when, how often, for how long, etc.
We’ll go over your pet’s details and, if you are ready, fill in the Owner Form (also available online here), or if you’d like to think about it, you are welcome to get in touch at a later time.
You can find more details about the Meet & Greet here.
Step 3 – Formalities
If not already done, you will then be required to fill in the Owner Registration Form (this is usually done online but a paper version can be requested if you prefer) to make sure I have all the information I need to take the best care of your companion.
We will confirm dates, times, as well as rates in writing (usually via email or text, but can be a formal contract if you prefer). From this moment on, please refer to the T&Cs if you need to cancel or re-schedule, or have changed your mind.
If I need a key to collect and drop off your dog, or access your pet for visits or sitting, please make sure to fill in and sign a key release form, included in the Welcome Guide (given to you at or after the Meet & Greet). Simply print it out, fill in the necessary details, and leave for me to collect during my next visit.
Step 4 – Ongoing Services
I will be caring for your pet on the agreed dates and times. If it’s an ongoing service, like a weekly walk, the current step in the process would then be ongoing until something needs to be changed. Regular services like weekly walks will be invoiced at the end of each month unless agreed otherwise.
If you ever need to cancel or reschedule a regular walk, I request you do so as soon as you can. This will make it easier for me to plan for the day(s) and make changes to the schedule if necessary. Please refer to the T&Cs for more details.
If you would like to schedule additional walks or other Services while an ongoing Service is active, just get in touch via text or email or give me a call and we can book it in.
Step 5 – Ending Services
In case of a one-off Service, I will usually get in touch with you afterward to let you know how it went and maybe share a few photos or videos. If payment hasn’t been made up front, I will send the invoice within a few working days which you can then pay within 7 days. No further action will be required after payment.
If you have booked an ongoing Service, like a Walk or Visit, and your circumstances change, you may cancel the Services at any time, although I do ask for at least 4 weeks’ notice wherever possible. Details about cancelling Services are outlined in the T&Cs.
You can contact me any time while your pet is with me
If you would like to know how your pet is doing while they’re in my care, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. You can find my email address as well as my number in the Welcome Guide. I might not be available to pick up the phone but you’re welcome to text or email me at any time and I will get back to you as soon as I can. I’m more than happy to send some photos or videos as well to reassure you that your friend is having a great time!
If you’d like to get a feel for the type of walks I do, please head over to the Gallery where you can pictures of the TippyTaps Dogs while out and about!
